Simplify private validation and add owned-config reuse (#1420)

Always defer interpolations in the private validator and remove its resolve argument and resolution-only helpers and shared hooks.

Add keyword-only in_place=False. Default validation preserves both inputs; opt-in mode merges into an owned config, permits partial mutation on failure, and still copies supplied nodes. Document ancestor ownership, alias visibility and readonly clearing.

Retain strict supplied-field validation and factory avoidance. Add owned/unowned regressions and remove resolution-only test cases. Public API consideration remains tracked separately in #1419.
