test(nornicdb): wait for the pending-flush timer instead of sleeping (#880)

Two subtests of TestSearchServices_Coverage_EnsurePendingFlushBranches slept
20-25 ms for a 5 ms flush timer and its goroutine, and failed on a loaded
machine. They now wait until the timer callback has run (it clears
pendingFlushTimer) and then check its outcome.
