fix: restore upstream files clobbered by a wedged index in d87f7abc4

d87f7abc4 accidentally carried two stowaway deletions staged by an earlier
autostash/rebase tangle: the browse-search coverage test from ddbab23c7 and
the post-gate Android build cancel fix in .circleci/config.yml from
d69fdfcd0. Restored byte-identical to 7881d61a0. Committed by explicit
pathspec this time - the lesson, again, is never bare 'git commit' in a
shared checkout.
