connection/async: lift test coverage to 97.6% lines (#552)

Add four tests covering previously-uncovered paths in
`src/connection/async.rs`: Debug formatter, handshake EOF rejection
branch, reconnect happy path with transient failures, reconnect
exhausted-attempts → ConnectionFailed.

Extend `MemoryStream` with `set_reconnect_failures(count)` to drive
the reconnect-failure paths deterministically (no-op sleep already
makes the 20-attempt loop sub-ms).

Coverage on `connection/async.rs`:
- lines    81.7% → 97.6%
- regions  76.3% → 92.5%
- functions  88% → 100%
