Merge the SLE-16 branch to master (#2850)

Merging the fixes from the SLE-16 branch to master. This includes these
features and fixes:

- Self-update implementation (in openSUSE it is not configured so it is
skipped by default, however it is still possible to use a custom
self-update repository manually)
- Using new gettext tools and fixed translations
- Added missing AMD GPU firmware
