e-stepper: the explanation takes the height of its text (#145)

The frontend styles side-content cards to fill it (.workspace .side-content
.bp6-card { display: flex; height: 100% }), which matched the e-stepper's
explanation card too. Harmless while the tab had no definite height; since
the tab fills the window (#144), it made the explanation as tall as the tab,
leaving no room for the program and the diagram. The explanation and error
cards now have an inline height: auto and flex: 0 0 auto.
