Fix regression in host-assisted clone not recovering from transient errors (#4307)

Any transient failure during a clone leaves disk.img on the
target PVC. Since the destination is opened exclusively, all
subsequent retries fail with "file exists" and the clone never
converges.

This regressed when the clone path was moved away from the
data-processor pipeline which cleaned the destination before
writing. Restore that cleanup in the clone path.
