Merge commit from fork

The serde visitor for MerkleProof path/peaks preallocated from the
untrusted sequence length, so a crafted length prefix aborted the node
on allocation failure. Path and peaks are bounded by MMR height, so
reject any sequence longer than 64 hashes, both from the size hint and
while reading elements.
