[client-side Sampler] Remove duplicate unit and integration tests (#3371)

### Summary
In this PR, I remove a few tests that were written in early days, and
that in my opinion are now redundant.
Examples include an integration test (parametrized, with 4 different
combinations) that can be turned into a unit test for prepare, or
various unit tests that used mocks to achieve the same result as some of
the more recent simulation tests.

Note for the reviewer:
- I suggest you go down commit by commit
- I tried to leave comments to most of the changes, to motivate my
choices
