Nothing wrong with the `v0.12.0` tag or `mix.exs` — both are `0.12.0`.

**What changed:** through [v0.11.0](https://github.com/thanos/rheo/actions/runs/35456313060) Hex Publish never checked tag vs version. That assert was added in the 0.11.1 tooling commit (`0782c92`). **v0.12.0 is the first release that runs it.**

**Why it failed:** the step did `VERSION=$(mix run -e '…')`. On a cold compile Mix prints `==> earmark_parser` (and friends) on **stdout**, so the compare became:

`Tag v0.12.0 does not match mix.exs version v==> earmark_parser`

(Earlier checkout failure was a separate annotated-tag + `fetch-tags` issue; that’s already fixed.)

**Fix ready** in `.github/workflows/hex-publish.yml`: read `@version` from `mix.exs` with `sed` instead of `mix run`.

To publish you need that commit on the tag (commit → move/re-push `v0.12.0`), or say if you want me to commit and retag.
