## Description

- Bump Go from 1.26.5 to 1.26.8 across go.mod, GOVERSION, and the
Readme.
- Also updates the Dockerfile builder/runner base images (switching from
bullseye to bookworm).
- Mitigates multiple security vulnerabilities, including Denial of
Service risks in `net/http` and `crypto/tls` (CVE-2026-56853,
CVE-2026-56862).
