fix: a static initializer store no longer overwrites its neighbours (#311)

storeBitsAt treated any store of a machine word or wider as a whole-word
replacement without looking at the offset, so an unaligned one wiped the
bytes on either side of its own extent. Zero-filling the tail of a nested
brace group issues exactly that store, which is why

    int a[2][3] = { { 1, 2, 3 }, { 4, 5, 6 } };

printed 1 2 0 4 5 6: the eight-byte fill for the second row started at
offset 12 and took the whole of the word holding a[0][2].

A store that crosses a word boundary is now split at the boundary, so it
writes its own bytes and no others. An aligned store still takes one
iteration.
