test: avoid timing dependency in http/bad_request

The second part of http/bad_request stopped the event loop after 10 ms
and assumed both the write and response callbacks had run. On a busy
Windows runner, the timer fired after only the write callback.

Exit after processing the response instead, and use the normal error
callback so failures still terminate the loop.
