docs: add AGENTS.md with project + toolchain guidance for coding agents (#1253)

Documents the project identity, the pnpm/Node 24 toolchain, common
commands, source/package architecture, the rollup build pipeline, the
jest setup and the repo gotchas — so coding agents (and contributors)
have an accurate, single reference after the modernization (#1244) and
pnpm migration (#1245).
