chore(perl): remove legacy Vite manifest path fallback

Motivation:
Vite 8 consistently uses the `.vite/` sub-directory for its manifest. Removing
the fallback simplifies the code and prevents accidental reliance on outdated
build artifacts.

Design Choices:
- Updated `vite_asset` helper to only look for `manifest.json` in the `.vite/`
  directory.
- Removed the `-e $path` check for the old root location.

User Benefits:
- Cleaner backend code.
- Predictable asset resolution following the Vite 8 upgrade.
