refactor: modernize marked v17.0.1 usage with best practices

Apply marked v17 best practices to markdown processing:

- Add explicit `async: false` option to parse() for type safety
- Remove unnecessary toString() call on parse result
- Add comprehensive JSDoc comments explaining v17 patterns
- Document instance-scoped configuration to avoid global mutations
- Document walkTokens for synchronous token processing
- Document hooks lifecycle (preprocess/postprocess)

All changes follow official marked v17 documentation:
- Instance-scoped configuration prevents global state pollution
- Explicit async option provides better type inference
- Comments explain modern patterns for maintainability
