Remove unused serialization methods and improve file handling.

Removed `__getstate__` and `__setstate__` methods from multiple classes as they were unused and unnecessary. Enhanced file opening operations by explicitly specifying the UTF-8 encoding for better compatibility. Minor adjustments were made to material handling to streamline the logic.
