travis-ci: better scheme for coverage testing

Instead of handling coverage testing in the first of N builds
under travis-ci, support coverage testing by checking for
CC with "+coverage" appended, and add a third "compiler" entry
to .travis.yml for gcc+coverage.

This turns the travis-ci builds into 3 parallel builds, one
of which is coverage testing. At least this way we do not test
gcc differently than clang.

Also, "make check-code-coverage" expclitly always succeeds, and
we don't want gcc build to always succeed as we may miss some important
errors.
