Introduction of the `--shadow-file` argument, logic and documentation.

This patch removes the generation and usage of the shadow file as default.

From now, if you need that feature, please use the `--shadow-file` or its
configuration equivalent.

Also:
   * Fix issue with the `--production` argument.
