Lots more date/datetime editor improvements

Changed the default DateField behaviour to trigger/open the date
picker on field click (not just tigger button click). Also cleaned
up and refined the handling of the special date+time field to relay
important flags and events to the exposed field object so the system
can correctly interact with it, plus misc other bug fixes
