Add check that LOGGER format strings contain no escapes.

It's a common mistake to add an extra newline character at the end of a
LOGGER format string. These end up needlessly creating double newlines in
client log outputs.

This analysis flat-out forbids any escape sequences, including escaped
escapes (`\\`) and quotes (`\"`). We don't currently use these, and for
quotes, we can use single quotes instead.
