refactor(utils): removes `treeUtils` export

`treeUtils` has a large amount of cross-over in functionality with
d3-hierarchy's `stratify()` function.
Given the amount of refactoring required to upgrade these util
functions, it makes more sense to add clear instructions and links to
D3's own docs regarding how these transforms to hierarchies can be
achieved by pulling in the `d3-hierarchy` module if needed.

This avoids:

- extra bloat in the bundle for utils that many users may never need.
- lowers development complexity and regression probability.
