All empty geometries are now returned as WKT in DatabaseEngine

This reduces query complexity, and avoids relying on GeometryType() which may not be as cross-database compatible as ST_ prefixed functions.
Note that we cannot reliably use ST_GeometryType() either, as the returned geometry names differ among implementations.
