Commit Message

Carry out reduction of certain fields / data as part of the parallel job scheduling.
This is compatible with the on-the-fly DirectView method of accessing data, which should still work fine b/c it copies to temporary variables. However, once the computation is complete all of the fields reside on Rank 0, and even the on-the-fly reduction will be faster.
