Adds event search support, and cleans up testing.

This change is a major refactor of the testing libraries in order to
make them cleaner and easier to understand. This also breaks out several
components of the search testing since the functionality of the one call
is large. Ideally we should add several more examples so its clear how
to utilize Search() fully. That will be done later.

Thanks to James for letting me steal that vast majority of his work
while I fiddle around to clean up the testing disaster that I created
when I wrote the initial search tests.
