Gracefully handle asset reservation race conditions

* Refactor the low-level code which sends the asset reservation release request so it can be called with arbitrary URLs
* Change two previous throws for race conditions where the viewer was closed and/or a different asset was opened before a reservation could be obtained so they instead log the message and immediately release the reservation
