get rid of relative AND absolute paths in favor of mocks

Since $HOME mocking functions correctly, replace all places we are
using relative paths or absolute paths which hardcode the aruba
directory location, in favor of using natural tilde-based paths
relative to $HOME (well, the fake home).

Some minor changes to steps to accommodate, but this makes the
scenarios MUCH more readable with relation to what one would expect on
a real system, and they should actually be less brittle now and
accommodate potential Aruba directory changes.
