Fixing bugs found when trying out PG modifiers

Argument parsing was not totally correct. I was also incorrectly taking
the result of the call as the new pgt, while in reality the modifier I
wrote for the SUMMIT demo simply modifies the given pgt object instead
of returning a potential copy
