model __future__ bugfix: Only open one connection

When .enable() is called multiple times a new connection is opened each
time. Connections are kept open until the old connection objects are
garbage collected.

Instead of creating new connections we now re-use the open connection
where possible and throw a warning if a credentials change is requested.
