Add Basic Unit Tests (#17)

* Add Basic Unit Tests

* changed loop iter names, disabled tests

- disabled nonsensical tests

* added dynamic test string generation

removed hardcoded string definition for starts/ends testset

* removed temp header

* changed iterator names, typed dict keys

* addded range handling and hack for not start/end

moved the negated start and end tests into a conditional so they should only run when the first and last char actually differ

* removed commented code

* changed to list comprehension, changed iter name

* cleaned commented code, readded working test

* added tests for utf16 and 32, renamed iterator

renamed iterator back to string_types to be aligned with the element types
the cahnge to char types didn’t work so far and generated significant errors in the tests as they are
