daemon: Cleanup and bugfix.

The daemon package now uses os.StartProcess, the lowest-level portable
interface to start subprocesses. The (*Daemon).fork helper is removed.

This also fixes two bugs:

1.  The absify function was never called;

2.  Specifying nil as Env causes subprocess to inherit the current environment,
    not start with an empty environment.
