test: Verify replaced config in main-spec, use "unwrap" instead of file-compares

- This commit adds the "unwrap" tag-function for template literals which
  removes indents based on the indent of a boundary pattern.
- File-based compares are replaced by "unwrap"ped versions of the
  expected file contents. This is easier to read, because the expected
  result is inlined into the test code.
