[mp] Clean some of the TODO comments and Fixed #167 (#369)

* [mp] _flatten()'s XXX is a caveat

* Re-cast the XXX in _flatten as a caveat of the current general
  mp-plugin implementation

XXX is a note fore a things that need fix or refactor.
The one fixme was fixed (RegisterInSubprocessEvent)
The others are implementation details related to the need
for data seralizability.

* [mp] Clarify _runmp current refactoring points

* [mp] Fix #167, register multiprocessing hooks

* Also refactor the session import into a separate, testable function
* Add a unit test for the session import to ensure the hooks are
  registered.
