Commit Message

Rewrite documentation to use asciidoc format

 - Simplified README to describe only things related to the sources.
   The rest should be moved to the project website.
 - Removed unrelated documentation from the tarball (presentations, etc.)
 - Require asciidoctor for build-time documentation generation. Don't
   ship compiled/generated versions of the documentation files (simplifies
   maintenance)
