Commit Message

Shrink git checkout depth for faster builds.

According to https://docs.travis-ci.com/user/customizing-the-build/, we may be able to speed up checkouts (which currently consume a large portion of travis build time) by tweaking this value.  Setting to 5 due to the note that low values may impact queued build jobs.
