I have been reading up a little bit a about threejs and it does have some really sweet functionhs within, cytoscape has unfortunately started to feel very bulky for what I am using it for....I may switch the front end out in favor of being about to do full 3d within the browser and simply have ne planet generated with an object of cart coords for all three axis.
