Reduce number of distinct filesys unit tests

Some of the test generators create highly redundant tests which do not offer
sufficient distinction and value to qualify as different full unit tests. The
change is to bundle them into slightly larger, more monolithic tests, which
more accurately reflect the intent to test the pass-through nature of the
concrete filesys objects.
