make gulp when tests don't pass

1. Why is this change necessary?
Gulp is not failing when tests fail and as such travis thinks
that bulds are passing when they're not

2. How does it address the issue?
We properly report the results of tests once done

3. What side effects does this change have?
The output of gulp when it fails is horrible. But other than
that we should be fine
