BREAKING CHANGE: Fix bug that increased the chances of token collisions

Tokens are now encoded to their exact string representation. Previously, they were encoded
backwards and if they had leading zeros, some of the zeros would be replaced with random
characters. This new encoding method is also slightly faster.
