Adopt google-java-format (#165)

This adopts google-java-format and the Google Java Style Guide for the project.

https://github.com/sherter/google-java-format-gradle-plugin is used to run the
tool from Gradle directly.

A checkstyle configuration for this style was borrowed from
https://github.com/checkstyle/checkstyle/blob/master/src/main/resources/google_checks.xml
