[BUGFIX] Restore broken cut-and-paste behavior (#1262)

Reimplements the behavior to coexist with workspaces and previous fixes concerning drag and drop. Fixes cutting an element with clipboard actions and pasting it using paste icon as well as "paste after" context menu action. Does not fix "copy" clipboard actions!
