Use skeleton source as prototype in widgets, not as mixin

Since d9180d5 skeleton sources have instance specific state (e.g.
subscriptions) and a constructor/init call is required. This commit
makes all widgets comply with this. While object composition seems a
better fit for skeleton source information, using a proper prototype
implementation requires less change and is better suited for fixing the
shared subscription problem.
