WHOLESALE WRAP ->table CALLS IN _safe_table_name()

Updated all locations in the code which called ->table to get a string
table name value to use new util func _table_name_safe. Also, in order
to be extra cautious, the function has been updated to work like either
a class method of direct function, and many places call via
fully-qualified function name instead of as a method, just in case the
TableSpec componenet is loaded (yet or at all)
