Make the result of `join` an iterator

Closure under iterators. In theory, this allows the result of a join
to be easily used in another join, without sacrificing stream-oriented
processing and automatic buffering.

Currently, sequences of duplicate keys inside of a join are buffered
independently of the underlying iterator, as iterators currently only
know how to seek/rewind to the first element in a sequence of identical
keys. This is currently by design.
