fix: optimize SafeMath.sub implementation for gas efficiency (#1026)

Optimizes the SafeMath.sub function by removing the unnecessary
temporary variable and directly returning the calculation result. This
change reduces bytecode size and gas consumption while maintaining
identical functionality

Here are the gas measurements:

- Optimized version: 23467 gas for 10 operations
- Unoptimized version: 23597 gas for 10 operations
- Savings: 13 gas per operation

While small, these savings add up across multiple transactions using
SafeMath.sub throughout the codebase
