feat!: More info on Merkle tree verification fail

Previously, the only method that verified a `MerkleTreeInclusionProof`
for integrity returned a boolean. Sometimes, it is useful to know _why_
the inclusion proof is not integral (relative to some root). The new
method `try_verify` provides this information.

BREAKING CHANGE: Mark enum `MerkleTreeError` as `non_exhaustive`.
