Commit Message

More documentation. Improve picture. Stop using CLIENT_ID in the "old"
packages; APPLICATION works just as well and is what's being done in the
"new" packages. Add a TODO to note the need to figure out if the
counters are still working and if their pollers are shutting down
properly.
