Fix type error in initializing TensorFlow computation graph for inference. (#421)

* Add unit test that detects type conflict.

* Fix bug by storing placeholder of appropriate type in graph.

* Call tf.InteractiveSession() to eliminate TF dependencies.

Without this call, the second of the two unit tests that is run (of the two
files changed in this commit) will fail. This must have to do with the way
tensorflow deals with the computation graph between unit tests.
