Avoid a valgrind false positive in the treehash leaf index checks

GCC 14 at -O2 compiles !leaf_idx.has_value() || leaf_idx.value() <= max_idx
to compare the payload of the optional before checking if it is set. When no
leaf index is given, valgrind reports this as a conditional jump on an
uninitialized value, which has failed the nightly GCC 14 -O2 valgrind job since
the check was added in bbd81c6ba9.

Use value_or instead.
