fix: Apply a modified occurrence to its parent item

When a single occurrence is edited, the extension only answers with that exception. The experiment
insisted on a parent item in the answer and failed with "TODO need to retrieve a parent item from
storage", even though the change was already saved. If the answer has no parent item, use the
parent of the occurrence that was modified.
